Define Managers
•Managers are defined as individuals who are owners, founders or employees in an organization.

•Management as a process involves several work activities and functions that must be followed and completed by managers in order to achieve organizational goals.
•Certo (1997) – Management is defined as a process to accomplish organizational goals by working with humans and other organizational resources.
•Ivancevich et al. (1997) – Management as a process that is conducted by one or more individuals to coordinate the work activities of employees, capital, raw material and technology to achieve results of high quality that might not b achieved by individuals working alone.
•Management Institute of Malaysia (MIM) - Management is defined as the process of completing tasks through and with other people.
Importance of Management
•To achieve organizational goals
-It arranges the factors of production, assembles and organizes the resources, integrates the resources in effective manner to achieve goals
•To optimize the utilization of resources
